I am a licensed psychologist in the state of California (PSY 9289) with over twenty-five years of clinical experience.  After earning my Ph.D. at Pacific Graduate School of Psychology, I completed a post-doctoral fellowship in the Psychiatry Clinic at Stanford University Medical Center, focusing on assessment and psychotherapy.

In addition to my private practice, I serve as a supervisor for the San Mateo County Psychiatry Residency Training Program and have previously supervised psychology interns through Pacific Graduate School of Psychology.

Having worked for twenty years in community mental health centers and hospital settings, I know and understand work dynamics in organizational settings.  My final position before shifting exclusively to private practive was as Associate Director of Menninger San Francisco Bay Area based at Mills-Peninsula Hospital.

I have published fourteen professional articles and spoken frequently to lay and professional audiences.  Lecture topics have included forgiveness, gender differences in communication, relationships between mothers and daughters, caring for aging parents, infertility, and coping with holiday blues.  In addition, I have co-led workshops on “exploring and enhancing the marital journey.”

My professional affiliations include the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, and San Mateo County Psychological Association.  I have chaired the Speakers’ Bureau and served on the board of the San Mateo County Psychological Association.
